Plant based chef, Betty Vandy
Betty is a plant based chef, food activist and writer born and raised in Liverpool, England. She’s been travelling across Ghana, Ivory Coast, Liberia and Sierra Leone passionately exploring plant based African food since October 2019. Now based in Freetown, Sierra Leone, birth place of her parents and laying roots to settle there, Betty is currently editing & writing her book, ‘Gather at the table’ @gatheratthetablewrld that explores the journeys and culinary legacies of over 60 Black & Brown women from across the world in the farm to table food movement. (Released in Sept 2021) She’s also hosts a podcast @plantainandpolitics
