Thinking Wider
I find joy in discovering new things.
That moment of “Oo... I haven’t thought of that before’, ‘
seen that before’ or ‘done that before’.
Whether it’s about human history, scientific discoveries or new music.
I’m always looking out for things that broaden my perspective.

Around 2,500 years ago in Greece,
Anaxminder questioned the status quo.
He questioned the very ground he stood on.
What if the Earth isn’t flat?
What if, maybe the Earth floats in the sky?
Can you imagine having such a revolutionary idea?
To be the first person to have that thought.
To question your whole perception of reality
and see the world in a completely new light.
And isn’t it incredible how quickly the ground-breaking theories of yesterday,
become the obvious and accepted realities of today.
Think of what new developments we don’t know now,
that in 100 years will be a topical round at the pub quiz.

Here’s a collection of things that have recently made me think wider.
Scientists that explain what we can’t perceive.
Storytellers that reveal to us new perspectives.
Artists that show us what we couldn’t see.
