Mark & Pete’s Christmas Playlist

Itttsssss Chriiiistmaaaaas!!!

If like us, you have eclectic tastes and love rock n roll as mush hip hop n soul then a Christmas playlist is a big reason to be cheerful. Not everyone loves Christmas and that’s ok but there is so much variety in the music knocking about at this time of year that even if Christmas isn’t your bag there is always a few tunes to give you a lift.  So, we thought we would serve you up a feast of Christmas songs and Christmas number ones plus a bit of chat from me and himself.

You might be the type who loves a bit of classical, hymns and arias might get you in the Christmas mood. I know that they will be on our house on Christmas morning during stockings and sprout peeling. Maybe it’s those oozy crooners that bring in the Christmas vibes for you, Bing, Nat and any of the Rat Pack singing about stockings and snow with caramel in their voices. Sweet soul sisters, rock n roll legends it’s all here alongside a few monster number ones, disco classics, the odd hip hop banger and a few from the alternative draw to keep the standard up. It’s Christmas so we need to check our music snobbery at the door just for a few weeks and embrace the sing-a-long classics and poptastic moments. Mark struggled with this last sentence. Whilst embracing pop is great (he’s a big lover of the Pet Shop Boys) there’s something about that big Maria Carey Christmas warbler that he just can’t stand. But thankfully Pete didn’t try and sneak that one in.

If your plans have been messed about and you can’t see family and friends let’s get the silent disco on, unlock a few tunes that don’t see the light of day for the rest of the year and paaaaaaarrrrtttyyyyy.
