Who are Beat Throwdown?
Beat Throwdown are DJs Sam Burt and James Budd. The Beat Throwdown name started off as a night we used to run. When that ended it morphed to the title we DJ under together. When people come to a Beat Throwdown gig they can expect to hear a blend of golden era hip hop, funky breaks and soulful beats. We only play on turntables and vinyl - of which we have hundreds of records to choose from which helps make set unique.We have played various gigs and festivals over the last few years and it was a real treat to play for you guys on Monday at your zoom party.
